Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

  • Day : 1 Welcome to arrival point and transfer to Kalimpong

    On arrival proceed towards Kalimpong. Kalimpong is a small tiny village, located in the kalimpong is a virgin hill station in West Bengal renowned for its panoramic Mt Kanchenjunga and valley views, Local sightseeing in Kalimpong area includes visits to famous monasteries Delo Park offering sweeping views of Kanchenjunga snow peaks, rivers & landscapes, visits to museums, parks, flower nurseries, missionary schools etc.

  • Day : 2 Kalimpong full day sightseeing

    After breakfast proceed towards Kalimpong full day sightseeing

    Deolo Hill: This is the major attraction in East Kalimpong. The tourism department has created an 8-acre lush parkland with manicured flower gardens and several viewpoints with breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga, Durpin hill, Kalimpong Township and the valley with rivers flowing through them. 

    Dr Graham's Homes: This missionary school was set up by Dr. J A Graham in 1900 as an orphanage & school for the destitute Anglo Indian children. It is located on the way to Deolo Hills.

    Mangal Dham: A temple complex built in the memory of late Guruji Mangal Dasji and dedicated to Lord Krishna.

    Pine View Nursery: It has great collections of cactus and Orchid. Must see Location in Kalimpong.

  • Day : 3 Kalimpong Sightseeing and Takdah stay

    After breakfast, proceed towards Takdah Enroute

    Peshok Viewpoint or Lover's meet viewpoint Peshok - This viewpoint laying at a virgin forest is quite famous among travellers, mainly young couples. The splendid bird's eye view of the river Rangeet meeting Teesta is an incredible treat for nature lovers. Lovers' viewpoint is the best place to watch the confluence of the river Rangeet and Teesta.

    After sightseeings, proceed towards Takdah

    Takdah - Takdah Cantonment is a neighbourhood in the Rangli Rangliot CD block in the Darjeeling Sadar subdivision of the Darjeeling district, West Bengal, India. It is one of the upcoming tourist centers of the Darjeeling hills. Takdah is located at an altitude of about 4,000 ft and close to Darjeeling (about 28kms away), yet far enough to be isolated, quiet and serene. Although the altitude is much lower than Darjeeling town, the place is cooler compared to its surrounding area.

  • Day : 4 Takdah to Darjeeling

    After breakfast, proceed towards Darjeeling. The Queen of Hills Darjeeling, a gem of a place known for its youthful vibe combined with modern as well as colonial charm. The dreamy town is situated at an altitude of 7100 ft, surrounded with tall mountains, coniferous trees, and green tea plantation. Darjeeling is a favored spot for everyone whether its a tourist, trekker, photographer, artist, or a botanist apart from its World famous Darjeeling Tea.

    On arrival, check-in at the hotel surrounded by Mother Nature with big, clean rooms facing the Mt. Kanchenjunga standing head up high. In the afternoon or evening, stroll about and shop -

    Chowrasta & Darjeeling Mall - The heart of Victorian Darjeeling, this place is the commercial hub, set on the ridge above Darjeeling town, dotted with many curious centers and other shops selling excellent blended Darjeeling tea. There is much heritage and old stores lined up inside of the roads which sell unique handicrafts items along with food stalls selling hot dim sum, thukpas. Young children can enjoy a pony ride in the mall while elders can sit on the benches and feel the real vibe of Darjeeling while watching the people and their activities.

  • Day : 5 Full day Darjeeling Sightseeing

    Early morning visit to

     Tiger Hill Sunrise Point  for an unforgettable sunrise over the snow-covered peaks of the majestic Himalayas.

     Batasia Loop  is a loop or a spiral of a narrow gauge railway track where the Toy Train negotiates a sudden sharp descent from Ghoom. The place provides a breathtaking view of surrounding mountains. 

     Ghoom Monastery  It follows the lineage of Sakya Sect of Vajrayana Buddhism and also has a small philosophical institute.

     Ava Art Gallery  established in 1965, by Bhopal Rao Sett and Ava Devi and exhibits fine art and embroidery works of Ava Devi.

     Come back to hotel and have your breakfast. Then start for a city tour.

     Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park the unique feature of this zoo is, it houses animals of high altitude and mostly from upper Himalayas. You can see some rare animals here like Red Pandas, Snow Leopards, Tibetan Wolf and lot more.  The zoo contributes significantly to the breeding programs of endangered animals.

     Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), HMI is a pilgrimage for all climbing enthusiasts of the world. Established in honor of Tenzing Norgay, it has a well stocked museum with mountaineering displays and many expedition artifacts.

     Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda   Located in the Jalapahar hill, the Japanese Temple is built in traditional Japanese style. Close to it is the Peace Pagoda where there are four large avatars of Lord Buddha. The view from the top is magnificent. 

     Tenzing Rock & Gombu Rock located at Lebong Cart Road and are also known as Monkey Rock. HMI imparts Rock climbing lessons.

     Tibetan Refugee Self-help centre established on 1st October 1959, to rehabilitate the Tibetan refugees. Excellent carpets, woolens, wood and leather works are produced here.

     Rangeet Valley Passenger Ropeway. From the ropeway you can have mind blowing view of the valley below, see the spread of lush tea gardens, dense forests, mountain streams in their full flow, waterfalls, and the awesome snow peaks at the background.

    You can also enjoy the World UNESCO Heritage world famous Toy Train to Ghoom subject to track conditions.

  • Day : 6 Darjeeling to NJP/IXB/Silliguri drop via Mirrik

    After breakfast, proceed towards NJP/ IXB  with sweet North Bengal memories. On the visit:

    Mirrik - Mirrik has become a popular tourist destination for its climate, natural beauty and easy accessibility. The center of all attractions is the Sumendu lake, surrounded by a garden on one side and pine trees on the other and linked together by an arching footbridge called Indreni Pull (Rainbow Bridge). A 3.5-km-long road encircles the lake and is used for walks with the view of Kanchenjunga on the far horizon. Boating on the quaint shikaras and pony riding are available.
