Buxa Fort- Buxa Fort is located at an altitude of 867 meters (2,844 ft) in the Buxa Tiger reserve. It is located 30 kilometres (19 mi) from Alipurduar, the nearest
town. Buxa Fort was used as a detention camp by the British ruler during the time of Indian freedom movement., and it was as infamous as a cellular jail located in Andaman. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was imprisoned here for the time being.
