Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

• Day : 1 Sundarban Arrival

  Tour Departure at 8:30 hrs from Kolkata in a vehicle and transfer to Sonakhali, a journey of about 3.5 hrs by surface. The moment you reach Sonakhali. Board the waiting motor Steamer at the Jetty for your journey to the World’s largest Mangrove forest, Here spotting the tiger is through boat journey. Our Sundarban as the boat cruises down the rivers Hoogly, Gomar, Durgaduni and Gumdi and in about an hour and a half you would reach the Sajnekhali watchtower. Enroute enjoy birding and game cruise and try to sight wildlife from the Sajnekhali watchtower and also visit the Sajnekhali Museum, the River Terrapin Pond and Mangrove Interpretation Centre. return to your resort for the night. Overnight stay at resort.

• Day : 2 Explore Sundarbans

  Visit Dobanki & Jharkhali- involves a full day cruise through the rivers and narrow creeks of the Sundarbans National Park as well as the World’s Largest Mangrove Forest and a lovely birding experience. Food would be prepared and served on the motor boat. Cross through the numerous creeks and canalsof the Sunderban Tiger Reserve,notable among them being the Bonobibi Bharani,

  the Sundar Khali, Gazikhali, Chora Gazi Khali, Deul Bharani, the Pancha Mukhani (5 River junction) and visit the Canopy Walk and the watchtower of Dobanki. The canopy walk at Dobanki gives you an opportunity to view wildlife from a netted enclosure. Thereafter, enjoy the thrill of cruising deep in the “Indian Amazon” as it is called and also around the islands of the Sundarban Tiger Project Area. Let yourself be guided by our Naturalist and Guide to view the Mangrove forest from close quarters, deep insidethe creeks and return in the eveningto the resort. Overnight stay would be at the resort.

• Day : 3 Sundarbans: Seightseeing and Depurture

  Early in the morning, you may visit the village around the resort on your own and then start your journey to the Sundarban Tiger Reserve. This involves cruising through the creeks of Pirkhali and visiting the watchtower of Sudhanyakhali. Most of the tigers are sighted from the Sudhanyakhali tower. Some other wildlife like axis deers, wild boars and crocodiles may also be seen from this watch tower. This watch tower has a capacity to host 25 persons at a time. There is a sweet water pond where animals come to drink water. Behind the pond are long stretches of observation lines, bereft of any vegetation where one can sight animals from a distance. The Brahmini Kite, Brown Winged Kingfisher, Jungle cat aswell as the Monitor lizardsis very often sighted from the Sudhanyakhali Watchtower.

  Thereafter, we cruise through the creeks and canals of the Sundarban Tiger Reserve looking for a chance to spot the Royal Bengal Tiger and other wild animals and after lunch on the boat, at around 02:00 - 02:30 hrs, depart for Kolkata. Arrive at Kolkata by about 05:00 / 05:30 hrs. Your Sundarbans tour ends with sweet memories.
